Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
